Attracting investment and creating multi-integrated value for Vietnam's agriculture is the key content of Minister Le Minh Hoan's meetings in France
On November 4th in Paris (France), Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan participated in a seminar chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the occasion of the Prime Minister's official visit to the French Republic with the theme "Vietnam's priorities for economic development and prospects for cooperation with French enterprises".
The seminar received the participation of hundreds of leading domestic and foreign enterprises, discussing orientations and solutions to attract business investment and support post-Covid-19 economic recovery
Minister Le Minh Hoan at the seminar recalled the cordial relationship between France and Vietnam as both sides had shared many cultural and human values with each other. Vietnam's agricultural industry is orienting strongly towards green and ecological transformation, meeting the increasing demands of global consumers. The agriculture sector of Vietnam is building a transparent - responsible - sustainable image with global consumers.
Vietnam has entered the Top 15 leading agro-forestry-fishery product exporters in the world. Vietnamese agricultural products have appeared in over 190 countries and territories. The advantages of Vietnam's agriculture have become very attractive to investors, especially for French partners.
Minister Le Minh Hoan stated that with outstanding capabilities in technology, knowledge, and capital potential, French investors hold a great possibility to make full use of Vietnam's agriculture advantages and create products with multi-integrated values in terms of economy, society, indigenous culture, landscape and environment.
The Vietnam MARD Minister also shared that Vietnam still has a lot of room for investment to promote the application of digital technology, smart agriculture, circular and organic agriculture. After the seminar, Minister Le Minh Hoan had a number of direct meetings and discussions with French investors, focusing on the application of new technologies in animal husbandry, fruit and vegetable processing, development of pharmaceutical and cosmetic value of agricultural products and beverages, development of centers for agricultural product supply chain support and logistics for agricultural product value chains.
French investors all expressed their inclination to invest in Vietnamese agriculture. Minister Le Minh Hoan had given specific instructions at the meetings to quickly promote French enterprises’ investment in Vietnam.
