Speaking at the conference "Prime Minister with businesses: Strong development of enterprises - integration - efficiency - sustainability", held on the morning of December 23rd, 2019, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc required the Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers to commit to listen so as to join, accompany, frankly discuss, remove obstacles so that Vietnamese businesses can break through in 2020 and the following years.
The Prime Minister emphasized, “Businesses should have a spirit of dare to think, dare to do and dare to break through, but businesses must not be careless and violate the law. The inspection, audit agencies, police, courts... should really respect human rights, civil rights, business rights, property rights ... according to the constitution and law, in the spirit to untie, create favorable conditions for businesses, healthy and sustainable development, thus contributing to disassembly with the Government”. 2020 is an important year for foreign and domestic relations of the country and it is also the year to accomplish many medium-term goals of many businesses, the Prime Minister raised 4 issues for the business community to discuss, namely: difficulties, challenge; breakthroughs on incentive mechanisms; and solutions and initiatives for sharing among the business community.
According to the Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, in recent years, businesses have invested a large amount of capital in the total social investment; made a positive contribution to the growth of gross domestic product and exports. This was an important link in the value chain to improve the competitiveness of products, formulate value chains, and create a Vietnamese brand in the international markets. Businesses became the key force in creating jobs, improving living standards, raising incomes for employees, contributing to poverty reduction and social stability. In particular, in the context of science and technology booming, businesses had a central role in the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship.
The conference also aimed to convey the Government's message: The world is changing, strong integration, environmental challenges, increasingly complex social issues, therefore the business community, business people were required to strengthen solidarity and strength, promote national pride to thrive and at the same time to be responsible to the community, the society, the nation and create an independent country, self-reliance, sustainability and prosperity.
