Japanese enterprises invest 5 billion USD into Vietnam

President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe witnessed the exchange of cooperation documents among ministries, departments and investment projects of Japanese enterprises into Vietnam with the total value of about 5 billion USD.

President Tran Dai Quang welcomed Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during the APEC 2017 Summit.

President Tran Dai Quang highly appreciated that Japan continuously granted ODA for Vietnam; hoped to boost the bilateral trade and Japan to license the import of Vietnamese fresh fruit into Japan, litchi and longan at first; provided technical assistance to Vietnam to enhance negotiation capacities and implement new-generation free trade agreements; expanded cooperation in health, education and labor, law enforcement enhancement at sea, war consequence overcome, including dioxin cleanup project in Bien Hoa airport, etc.

President Tran Dai Quang welcomed and affirmed to facilitate Japanese enterprises investment in Vietnam with priority in energy, hi-tech agriculture, supporting industries and automobile industry.

At the meeting, the two leaders expressed their joy at the strong and comprehensive bilateral cooperation and agreed to work closely to develop the broad strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan in the future. Regarding the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), the two sides agreed to work closely with other members to accelerate the realization of TPP.
