Israel is a poor country in terms of natural resources, deserts covers more than half of the country land, however Israel has attained many big economic achievements by implementing high technology in agriculture production , and become one of the big agricultural product exporter of the world with top agricultural technologies.
According to Vice Minister Le Quoc Doanh, Vietnam’s agriculture is standing in front of many challenges such as small and separated production scale, fast and intense climate changes, drought, salinization, flood in the middle of the country etc.Additionally, the deep economic integration will lead to the increase of agriculture export competition.
Facing such challenges, MARD has been carrying out the restructuring of agriculture toward increasing added value, persistent development with new rural establishment, zealously exchange and cooperate with developed technology countries like Israel to promote investment in high technology agriculture.
Today, Israeli enterprises are very interested in investing and searching for partnership in high technology agriculture in Vietnam. The visiting of Israeli President and enterprises is a good opportunity to strengthen the Vietnam-Israel relationship, as well as to cooperate in agriculture in order to enhance mutual understanding and relationship.
