On June 27, the National Agricultural Extension Center, Hi-Tech Farm Company Korea and the Trade Promotion Center of Jeonbuk Province in Hanoi held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement on training high-tech agricultural trainees in Korea. The goal is to develop human resources and transfer hi-tech agriculture to contribute to the process of sustainable agricultural development in Vietnam and Korea.
According to the agreement, the National Agricultural Extension Center will be the focal point to select candidates to participate in alignment with the standards of Hi-Tech Farm Company, provide training services for a short course in Vietnam in terms of languages, and support companies in Jeonbuk province that are promoting to enter the Vietnam market.
Hi-tech Farm Company will be responsible for organizing training and transferring hi-tech agricultural technology in Korea; supporting cultural and language training in both countries; providing full conditions regarding facilities, training programs and related procedures for interns; coordinating with the third party (the units sending people abroad) to manage the intern according to the regulations of the two countries; receiving and arranging jobs for interns after the training process.
The Trade Promotion Center of Jeonbuk Province in Hanoi will be the unit that supports translation and trade promotion guidance for companies in Jeonbuk province that are aiming to get access to the Vietnam market, while at the same time supervising the hi-tech agricultural technology training process.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Thanh, Director of the National Agricultural Extension Center, said that this was an important milestone for the implementation of the cooperation agreement signed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam with the previous South Korean units. Bringing advanced technology of foreign enterprises and partners to Vietnam for application in agriculture has long been one of the top goals of the National Agricultural Extension Center.
“One of the most important contents of the signing ceremony is the training for high-quality human resources in the form of exchanging interns who both study and practice at South Korean hi-tech farms, which is to serve the restructuring of Vietnam's agriculture. This is also a step for Vietnamese agriculture to ‘stay ahead of the game’ in terms of solutions and technology transfer in the near future,” said Mr. Le Quoc Thanh.
Having the new cooperation opportunities in the future in high regard, Mr. Ko Yeong Hak, Chairman of Hi-tech Farm Company committed that Hi-tech Farm Company would be a partner to support the application of high technology to Vietnam's agriculture.
