Prime Minister issued Directive no. 13/CT-TTg on developing socio – economic development plan and estimating the state budget for 2019 on May 24th 2018. The Directive sets the target of strengthening the macro-economic stability, controlling the inflation, promoting fast and sustainable economic growth, and reaching the GDP growth rate of 6.8%.
In particular, in terms of economic development, it is targeted to strengthen the macro-economic stability, control the inflation; reach the GDP growth rate of 6.8%; restructure the economy, departments and sectors in the direction of innovation, creativity and application of science and technology; ensure favorable and equal business environment for the development of the private sector.
The Directive also sets targets of people’s health care, education and training, scientific and technological development, culture and physical training; accelerating administrative reform, developing a modern and professional administrative system, and continuing workforce downsizing.
The state budget estimate for 2019 is planned to raise the rate of tax and fee collection in 2019 to about 21%.
