The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey has conveyed information by the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry regarding a number of safety precautions that have been taken in order to protect the health of Turkish control officials, as well as to ensure the safe continuation of agricultural product and food trade.
Starting from 25 March 2020, the signed and sealed copies of Health Certificates that normally accompany the imported products will no longer be required to be present, provided that they are electronically sent by the issuing authority to the relevant Turkish District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate.
In this regard, if the scanned versions of sealed and signed health certificates which accompany to the said products are sent to the official e-mail address (Provincial License Plate Code.gidayem@tarimorman.gov.tr, for instance, for Ankara Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry: 06.gidayem@tarimorman.gov.tr) of the relevant Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry by the competent authority, official control procedures will be carried out without the originals of the certificates.
