As of August 2020, Grow Asia is recognized as an Associated Entity of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), making Grow Asia the first World Economic Forum-initiated platform to achieve this status. The accreditation recognizes the important role Grow Asia plays in the region, particularly in facilitating multi-stakeholder partnerships for sustainable agriculture development. The accreditation allows Grow Asia to formally submit statements, recommendations and views on policy matters or regional issues to the ASEAN Secretariat.
Grow Asia is a multi-stakeholder partnership platform established by the World Economic Forum, in collaboration with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretariat. The organization brings together farmers, governments, the private sector, NGOs and other stakeholders in Southeast Asia to lift the productivity, profitability and environmental sustainability of smallholder agriculture in the region.
Today, Grow Asia collaborates with more than 500 partners of 46 Working Groups, organized around 18 commodities and 8 cross-cutting issues across 6 Country Partnerships in Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea and Vietnam, reaching nearly 1.8 million smallholder farmers. The Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture in Vietnam (PSAV) is one of the 6 Country Partnerships supported by Grow Asia within WEF’s New Vision for Agriculture.
