Grow Asia Forum 2017: Pathways to Scale

Grow Asia Forum 2017 with the theme “Pathways to Scale” is held on 10 May 2017 in Phnom Phenh, Cambodia with the theme ” Pathways to Scale” has attracted more than 120 participants, including senior leaders from ASEAN governments, multinational corporations, civil society organizations, farmer organizations and other stakeholders to discuss and explore scenarios for the future of food system and agriculture in the region as well as engage in a highly interactive program.

H.E Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Minister of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, led the Vietnamese delegation to attend the Forum. At Panellist in Opening Plenary session, the Minister shared what the Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture in Vietnam (PSAV) has achieved over the last years. The HE Minister emphasized the need of focusing on food security and nutrition in the region so that toward to the development of sustainable agriculture.

On the same day, the HE Minister had bilateral meeting with the HE Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia Kingdom as well as the representatives of corporations such as DuPont and Swiss Re.

The Minister also attended the breakout discussion on the Sustainable Agriculture Partnership Program in Vietnam (PSAV). At the session, the HE Minister requested the further improvement of the current Public Private Partnership models in order to mobilize the involvement of other enterprises and stakeholders to maximize the resources to support the agriculture. In the coming time, PSAV will summarize the successful of coffee and tea models for the replication on other agri-commodities.
